Ready to Burn – Brand Guidelines
All packaging of wood sold in volumes of under 2m³ for domestic burning must include the Ready to Burn Certification Logo. The Ready to Burn Certification Logo contains:
- the supplier’s company name
- the supplier’s unique certification number
- the Ready to Burn logo
Brand guidelines must be followed – a clear and distinctive identity for Ready to Burn has been established and following these guidelines ensures that customers can easily identify that your fuel is compliant with legislation. Misuse or failure to comply with brand guidelines may result in the withdrawal of permission to use the logo and/or fixed penalty notices.
Correct use of the Ready to Burn Certification Logo
What should it look like?
The Ready to Burn Certification Logo consists of four elements:
- an enclosing frame
- the flame background
- the words ‘READY TO BURN’
- text containing a company name, their unique ID, and a fuel certification number
The Certification Logo should not be used unless it contains all four of these elements and they may not be changed in position or colour.
Where can it be used?
Your Ready to Burn Certification Logo can only be used on a product’s packaging or on material marketing a product where the company name and certification number apply to that specific product. You may not use the logo on marketing material where the product being marketed is not the certified product.
If you sell online, ensure the logo for each fuel is displayed on the section of the webpage where the fuel is advertised.
How much space does it require?
The Ready to Burn Certification Logo must leave clear space on all sides equivalent to 20% of the logo’s width.
For example, if the logo is 60mm x 71.3mm, there must be 12mm of clear space on all sides.
Can I modify the logo?
DO NOT alter the contents of the logo in any way.
DO NOT stretch or rotate the logo, change its colour, add a border, or personalise its appearance.
DO NOT place the logo on bright colours, especially if they are similar to the logo’s colours or clash with the colours of the logo.
DO NOT change the proportions of any elements of the logo.
